Christmas tree sale. In 2023, with the support of host sites and sponsors, BUY A TREE. CHANGE A LIFE. raised $2,166,427 to help children globally and locally. Silo Square alone raised $300,000! Through sponsorships and volunteer efforts, BUY A TREE. CHANGE A LIFE. can donate 100% of Christmas tree sale proceeds. 50% of all proceeds benefit global orphanages while 50% stays local. Silo Square is proud to have selected Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center, a resource for abused children, foster children, etc. in DeSoto, Tate & Tunica Counties, as our local beneficiary!
Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center is an essential resource for our children and families in DeSoto, Tate, & Tunica Counties. HHCAC's mission is to respond to child abuse with a supportive team approach that reduces trauma through advocacy, treatment, education, and prevention. HHCAC is entirely run through donations, grants, and federal funding. Over the last 3 years, HHCAC is amongst the nationwide rape crisis centers, domestic violence shelters, and child advocacy centers whose federal funding has slowly decreased and is expected to run out before the end of the year. In total over those 3 years, HHCAC’s federal funding has decreased by $680,000 alone. But, also in those 3 years, because of Buy A Tree. Change A Life., we have been able to alleviate the budget cuts by donating $419,500 to Healing Hearts. With your support, we hope we can continue to give to Healing Hearts, allow them to serve our community, and have a major impact on local children and their families. They need us now more than ever.
